*** Sadly, all classes and dance events are cancelled with effect from 17th March 2020. We have been running some social, dance-related events since September 2020. Sadly with the November 2020 Covid-19 restrictions, these have now been postponed. Provisional programme and COVID-19 advice are on the EVENTS page. Please keep checking here and on our Facebook page (Bristol Westbury Scottish Club) for updates.
We run two classes on Tuesdays from 7.30-9.30pm in Henleaze, which are open to all. The Beginners class is for those new to dancing and those who want to brush up their skills. It is best to wear flat shoes and comfortable clothes (no need for a kilt) and bring a sense of humour. The Intermediate class expands on the basic skills once the basic steps and formations have been mastered. Spring term 2020 dates 7th January – 28th April (no classes 7th/14th April).

Friday Dance Nights
Friday dancing nights (run each Friday during Term dates*) are social occasions, open to members and non-members. Sometimes we have live music and a published programme. Click here for the cribs for the current term. On the other Fridays, the dance coaches take us through new and old dances with the emphasis on having fun. *For Term dates please see ‘Classes’ (above).
Special dances, open to members and non-members, are held throughout the year including President’s Night in November, Hogmanay Dance, Beginners’ Night in March, Spring Dance in April and Charity Dance during the summer break.

We run a residential dance weekend, usually in October, with a guest teacher and live music for workshops and social dancing. Click here for information about the residential weekend which sadly has had to be postponed due to the current pandemic.
